FCAMMS Members

Members of the Fire Consortia for Advanced Modeling of Meteorology and Smoke (FCAMMS) are located at Athens, GA - Ft Collins, Colorado - East Lansing, Michigan - Riverside, California - and Seattle, Washington. Each consortium supports research and operational needs of their members who include land management agencies participating in the National Fire Plan, NOAA, the National Weather Service, the Environmental Protection Agency, appropriate state agencies, universities, and other research partners. The common theme running through all of the consortia is a meteorological simulation model, operating at multiple scales and covering appropriate areas of concern for each region.

As a regional consortium, SHRMC will connect agency and university scientists including their students with clients who need real-time predictions of environmental conditions and solutions to related problems. As part of the national consortia, SHRMC will make available products developed in other parts of the country.
